Lectoure è un comune francese di 4.201 abitanti situato nel dipartimento del Gers nella regione dell'Occitania. In passato capitale della Contea d'Armagnac, è attraversato dalla via Podiensis, una delle strade del cammino di Santiago di Compostela.
Ritrovamenti archeologici nell'attuale Città Alta testimoniano come l'area fosse abitata sin dall'età paleolitica. Oppidum gallico noto col nome latinizzato di Lactora, al momento dell'arrivo dei Romani scelse di allearsi con questi ultimi, guadagnando così lo stato di civitas.
