Saverne è un comune francese di 12.296 abitanti situato nel dipartimento del Basso Reno nella regione del Grand Est. La città ha lo status di sottoprefettura.
Saverne si trova nella parte occidentale del dipartimento del Basso Reno, vicino al confine tra Alsazia e Lorena. La città è a circa quaranta chilometri a nord-ovest di Strasburgo, capoluogo del dipartimento e della regione, e lungo il tracciato della Route Nationale 4, che collega Strasburgo a Parigi. La città è attraversata dalla Zorn, un affluente del Moder, e dal Canale Marna-Reno. Lungo i bordi di questo canale passa l'itinerario ciclabile di lunga percorrenza EuroVelo 5, che collega Londra a Roma e Brindisi.
