La colonna Vendôme, eretta nel cuore di Place Vendôme nel 1810, è alta 44 metri. In omaggio ai valorosi soldati di Austerlitz, si ispira alla maestosa colonna Traiana di Roma. Il suo fusto, ricavato da 1.200 cannoni catturati agli eserciti russo e austriaco, è decorato con bassorilievi che evocano trofei in stile antico. Un simbolo di grandezza ed eroismo che si erge con orgoglio nella capitale francese.
