Arcachon è un comune francese di 11.748 abitanti situato nel dipartimento della Gironda nella regione Nuova Aquitania.
Vi nacque il velista Edward William Exshaw, olimpionico a Parigi 1900.
Arcachon è una meta del turismo balneare francese, situata nel cuore del bosco delle Landes di Guascogna, nel Pays de Buch. Si affaccia sul bacino di Arcachon in prossimità dell'Oceano Atlantico, ed è adiacente alla Duna del Pyla, la duna più alta d'Europa.
