L'ex-cattedrale di Bazas, sotto il patrocinio di Giovanni Battista, era la chiesa vescovile dell'ormai scomparso e situato lungo il Cammino di Santiago diocesi di Bazas, esistita dalla tarda antichità fino alla Rivoluzione francese. È già riconosciuta come Monumento storico dal 1840; inoltre fa parte del Patrimonio dell'umanità dell'UNESCO dal 1998 come parte dei percorsi dei pellegrini di Santiago in Francia.
