Progettato da Catherine Masbach, il giardino si estende per oltre 600 metri di lunghezza e 70 di larghezza sulla riva destra della Garonna, nel quartiere della Bastide. Tutti i temi evocati in questo giardino richiedono presentazioni originali, progettate dall'architetto paesaggista: giardino acquatico, galleria di ambienti, campi coltivati, giardino urbano, girotondo ornamentale, giardino verticale e giardino condiviso. La Cité Botanique è uno spazio espositivo permanente e temporaneo che presenta la botanica e introduce allo sviluppo sostenibile. Le alte serre vi accolgono in un clima tipicamente mediterraneo.
