Questa casa ha conservato tutti gli attributi della casa colonica lorenese del XIX secolo, con le tre "campate" caratteristiche del tipo di casa contadina: l'abitazione, la stalla e il fienile.
Numerosi elementi riportati in un notevole documento manoscritto di 210 pagine, il TERRIER, redatto all'epoca della ricomposizione fondiaria dei Rouhling nel 1708, confermano che la casa era abitata prima della fine del XVII secolo.
Nell'ex fienile, dove è stata installata una parete di vetrine, viene presentata una panoplia di oggetti particolari e insoliti, oltre a modelli di edifici molto antichi, tra cui la villa gallo-romana, ?
La presentazione degli strumenti dei vari mestieri locali di un tempo porta a capire come venivano utilizzati, ma anche a scoprire i loro nomi.
