"Questo è il passaggio che la piccola Meurthe ha fatto per uscire dalla montagna. Questo canale, lungo 4 km, è racchiuso tra due montagne di oltre 1000 metri di altitudine. La strada tortuosa costeggia il fiume, attraversando boschi di faggi e abeti. Il paesaggio è stranamente fantastico, persino misterioso. In alcuni punti, i raggi del sole filtrano attraverso gli aghi resinosi per lasciare spazio a una luce soffusa. Non molto tempo fa, c'erano boscaioli, scultori, segherie e margherie in piena attività. Alla Glacière, anche con il caldo, sentirete il fresco quasi permanente di questo luogo.
L'accesso a questa gola avviene da Ban-Sur-Meurthe-Clefcy.
