Questo ponte di tipo Eiffel, costruito tra il 1875 e il 1880 su tutti i supporti precedenti, è un ponte metallico tubolare, una sorta di gabbia con traverse, larga 5 metri, all'interno della quale scorre il traffico. Un tempo aveva una doppia passerella a mensola per i pedoni. Il nome di Eiffel, di cui Lebrun ha utilizzato il metodo di costruzione, è inciso sulla prima traversa del lato Cadillac. Il ponte, inaugurato nel 1880, fu benedetto dal cardinale arcivescovo Donnet.
