La zona umida del Moulin si estende per 92 ettari e presenta una grande diversità di ambienti naturali. Prati umidi, salici paludosi, vecchi boschi, prati calcarei, stagni e canneti costituiscono l'habitat di una fauna e di una flora notevoli. Il sito ospita 82 specie di uccelli nidificanti, tra cui specie protette. Qui si possono osservare anche più di cento specie di piante. Il valore biologico ed ecologico di quest'area è riconosciuto ed è classificato come riserva naturale regionale.
