In una nuova galleria il museo racconta anche una parte della storia francese, attraverso la nascita di Luigi il Pio, figlio di Carlo Magno, a Chasseneuil-du-Poitou, nel luogo noto come "la Motte", una delle ville reali di Carlo Magno situata ai margini di un sentiero sulla Promenade des Marais a Chasseneuil. Una finestra, che si affaccia sulla strada, con un manichino che lo rappresenta in costume da guerriero; nella galleria adiacente si può vedere la riproduzione della sua corona e della motta castrale.
