Calvario eretto "a devozione di Jacques Riandet e Gabrielle Pitollet, sua moglie". La famiglia Riandet è tipicamente di Aubigny, così come la famiglia Pittolet. Jacques era soprannominato "il più giovane" perché anche suo zio "il più anziano" e suo padre "il più giovane" si chiamavano Jacques, ed erano tutti viticoltori ad Aubigny! La coppia si sposò a Montsaugeon, la città della contea durante la Rivoluzione francese, il 10 Pluviôse, Anno VII della Repubblica francese, Una e Indivisibile (29 gennaio 1799). È probabile che questo calvario sia stato costruito dopo il Concordato, un accordo firmato il 26 Messidor An IX (15 luglio 1801) dal 1° Console Bonaparte e da Papa Pio VII per il ristabilimento della religione cattolica, apostolica e romana in Francia.
