Questa cappella del 1850 (data visibile sul frontone) si trova nella frazione di Granges-de-Plombières. È stata costruita da privati.
La sua originalità risiede nel fatto che è l'unico edificio del Cantone ad avere un tetto in lava a falde lunghe, "su una zolla di terra". All'epoca, questo tipo di copertura era utilizzato soprattutto per gli annessi agricoli. La particolarità di questo tipo di copertura è l'utilizzo di una terra argillosa accuratamente impacchettata sulla superficie esterna della volta in arenaria.
La Chapelle de la Vierge des Champs è la più autentica di un gruppo di tredici cappelle conservate o classificate nel Cantone. Sette di esse sono state costruite nel XIX secolo, mentre quattro sono state edificate tra le due guerre mondiali. Questi edifici, principalmente cappelle votive, furono eretti in risposta a circostanze come un'epidemia, una cura o un viaggio.
Il tetto è stato restaurato nel 1998.
Contiene numerose statue in gesso e offerte votive.
