La chiesa di Saint-Léger-du-Malzieu è dedicata a San Barthélémy. Secondo le fonti, esisteva già nel XII secolo e allora dipendeva da La Chaise-Dieu. L'edificio ha conservato parte del suo impianto originario nonostante le ricostruzioni effettuate nel XVI secolo, ovvero la volta, il portale sud, la torre delle scale e il campanile a pettine.
L'ingresso alla chiesa avviene attraverso un portale meridionale coperto da un arco a sesto acuto. La chiesa è a navata unica con tre campate. La navata centrale e l'abside poligonale sono voltate a crociera. Una torre scalare permette di accedere al muro-campanile che chiude l'edificio sul lato ovest. La porta d'ingresso è decorata da modanature a croce con basi prismatiche risalenti al XVI secolo. Il campanile a due piani ha quattro campate sormontate da una quinta. Solo il primo livello conserva le campane del XIX secolo.
