Il restauro è stato realizzato con materiali naturali ed ecologici (legno, pietre a vista, calce, canapa). Dal gîte si può raggiungere il GR364 a 500 m, la foresta di Secondigny a 500 m, il lago "Les Effres" a 3,5 km. Pougne-Hérisson (Nombril du Monde) 14km, Parthenay (città medievale, festival dei giochi all'inizio di luglio, mercato) 18km, Marais Poitevin (gite in barca) 40mn, Puy du Fou e Futuroscope 1h, Spiagge della Vandea 1h30mn.
