Nel 1873 nacque in questo villaggio il pittore Henri Loux, noto soprattutto per le decorazioni di un famoso servizio da tavola alsaziano, chiamato "Obernai"
Superate la scuola, luogo di nascita dell'artista, e proseguite verso il fiume Moder. Prendetevi un momento per assorbire la tranquillità del luogo. Le tipiche barche dei pescatori, ormeggiate alla riva, lasciano che l'acqua scorra tranquillamente sotto i loro fondi piatti. Questo scenario ha indubbiamente ispirato i dipinti dell'artista locale
