Questa è l'undicesima tappa della Via Tolonensis, in Francia conosciuta anche come GR653, una delle quattro principali vie dalla Francia a Santiago de Compostela. Il percorso si snoda da Arles attraverso Montpellier, Castres e Tolosa fino al Col de Somport, dove si collega ai cammini spagnoli.

La tappa da Lunas a Saint-Gervais-sur-Mare è lunga 28 km ed è segnata con i famosi segnali rosso e bianco.

Da Lunas a Bousquet d'Orb il percorso è pianeggiante, ma poi la strada sale continuamente fino a quasi 1000 metri. Da Bousquet d'Orb fino a poco prima di Saint-Gervais non ci sono nemmeno servizi.
