Chipping Campden è una piccola città di mercato e parrocchia civile nei Cotswolds. È famosa per la sua elegante High Street in terrazze, risalente al XIV secolo fino al XVII secolo. ‘Chipping’ deriva dall'inglese antico e significa mercato, piazza del mercato.
Nel Medioevo, Chipping Campden era il centro del commercio della lana, godendo della protezione di ricchi commercianti di lana. Oggi è una popolare meta turistica con vecchie locande, hotel, negozi e ristoranti. Nella High Street si trovano case in calcare color miele, estratte localmente dalla roccia calcarea, nota come pietra dei Cotswold. Sono costruite in una fine architettura popolare. Al centro si trova il mercato coperto con le sue splendide volte, costruito nel 1627.
