I trichechi si incontrano il giorno di Capodanno per tuffarsi nel fiume Lew per raccogliere fondi per buone cause locali; questa tradizione, iniziata negli anni '80, è giunta al termine il 1 gennaio 2018. Una maratona annuale chiamata Ruby Run si tiene solitamente a giugno tra Holsworthy e Hatherleigh, partendo da ciascuna città in anni alterni.
