Il torneo di calcio della XIV Olimpiade fu il decimo torneo olimpico. Si svolse dal 26 luglio al 13 agosto 1948 a Londra e vide la vittoria per la prima volta della Svezia.
Il torneo prevedeva un turno preliminare di qualificazione per determinare le ultime due squadre che avrebbero avuto accesso agli ottavi di finale. Successivamente era prevista una formula ad eliminazione diretta, composta da ottavi di finale, quarti di finale, semifinali e finali per il 3º posto e per il 1º posto.
