Il Millennium Bridge è stato progettato nel 2000 dall'architetto Sir Norman Foster. È stato il primo ponte pedonale a attraversare il fiume Tamigi dopo più di un secolo. Questo ponte in acciaio lungo 325 metri collega la City di Londra alla Cattedrale di St. Paul con la Tate Modern Gallery sulla Bankside.
Il ponte ha fatto molto notizia nel 2000 quando ha iniziato a oscillare a causa del vento. Ha quindi ricevuto il soprannome di "il ponte oscillante".
Nel 2006, l'artista di sculture sonore Bill Fontana ha utilizzato le vibrazioni del ponte per trasformarle in musica. Queste possono essere ascoltate nel Tate Modern Museum.
