La Georgios Averof è stata una nave da guerra della marina militare reale greca che ha servito per mezzo secolo come ammiraglia della flotta. Benché comunemente chiamata corazzata, si tratta di un incrociatore corazzato, ed è l'unica nave tuttora esistente di questo tipo. L'Aurora e l'Olympia conservati rispettivamente a San Pietroburgo e Filadelfia sono incrociatori protetti cioè con un dislocamento che è meno della metà mentre la Mikasa è una corazzata pre-dreadnought conservata in secca a Yokosuka. Tutte queste navi sono delle ricostruzioni allo stato originario. La Mikasa usa molti componenti recuperati dalla demolizione della cilena Almirante Latorre . L'Averof è l'unico pre-dreadnought quasi totalmente originale oltre che in grado di navigare.
