Il Castello di Dunmanway era una torre che risaliva alla fine del XV secolo e si trovava sulla riva nord del fiume Sally nella città di Dunmanway. Era la residenza principale dei MacCarthys di Gleannacroim, prima di essere confiscato alla fine del XVII secolo e assegnato al tenente colonnello William Arnopp, sostenitore di Cromwell. Alcune speculazioni esistono riguardo alla demolizione dell'edificio dopo che fu venduto alla famiglia Cox nel 1692, con storie che suggeriscono che la pietra fosse stata utilizzata per la costruzione di un mulino a farina.
