Monastier di Treviso è un comune italiano di 4 412 abitanti della provincia di Treviso in Veneto. Si tratta di un comune sparso in quanto sede comunale è la frazione Fornaci.
La notevole presenza di corsi d'acqua, come ad esempio il Meolo, anche alimentati da risorgive, ha favorito l'insediamento umano nella zona sin dal neolitico , come testimoniano i numerosi reperti del periodo: punte in selce, strumenti vari e un pugnaletto.
Anche la presenza romana è ben comprovata da numerosi ritrovamenti. Lo stesso impianto stradale sembra seguire l'antica centuriazione, avvenuta in due momenti successivi. Tra l'altro, sembra che qui passasse l'importante arteria che collegava Altino ad Oderzo.
