Il Passo dello Stelvio è un valico alpino delle Alpi Retiche, nonché il più alto valico automobilistico d'Italia, davanti al colle dell'Agnello, e il secondo d'Europa dietro al colle dell'Iseran.
Situato fra Trentino-Alto Adige e Lombardia, all'interno delle Alpi dell'Ortles e del parco nazionale dello Stelvio, vicino a importanti massicci come Ortles, Umbrail, monte Livrio e monte Scorluzzo, divide dal punto di vista geomorfologico le Alpi Retiche occidentali da quelle meridionali ed è non solo un importante collegamento tra Valtellina e val Venosta, ma anche meta ambita di sciatori, escursionisti, ciclisti e motociclisti.
