Le arche scaligere, situate nel cuore del centro storico di Verona, a fianco della chiesa di Santa Maria Antica e a pochi metri dalla piazza dei Signori, sono un monumentale complesso funerario in stile gotico della famiglia degli Scaligeri, destinate a contenere le arche di alcuni illustri rappresentanti della casata, tra cui quella del più grande Signore di Verona, Cangrande, a cui Dante dedicò il Paradiso. Lo storico francese Georges Duby nel suo L'Europa del medioevo ha definito le arche «uno dei più insigni e significativi monumenti dell'arte gotica».
