Il Regno Lombardo-Veneto fu uno Stato dipendente dall'Impero austriaco concepito dal cancelliere Klemens von Metternich all'inizio della Restaurazione seguita al crollo dell'impero napoleonico, la cui nascita venne sancita nel 1814 dal Congresso di Vienna.
Il Lombardo-Veneto perse quasi tutta la Lombardia nel 1859, quando questa venne annessa al Regno di Sardegna al termine della seconda guerra d'indipendenza italiana, ma il Regno cessò di esistere solo nel 1866 con l'annessione del Veneto, della provincia di Mantova e del Friuli al Regno d'Italia sancita dal Trattato di Vienna.
