Il monastero di Marienthal è un ex monastero lungo l'Eisch a Marienthal, fondato nel XIII secolo da domenicane di Strasburgo.
All'inizio era un monastero povero, ma la situazione cambiò quando nel 1258 Yolanda di Vianden divenne priora del monastero. Grazie a varie donazioni dei conti di Vianden al Lussemburgo, Marienthal conobbe un periodo di fioritura. Yolanda fece fondare una biblioteca e promosse la vita economica e culturale del monastero. Sotto la sua direzione fu anche costruita la chiesa monastica gotica a cinque navate, lunga 50 metri e larga 35 metri, che però oggi non esiste più. Dopo la sua morte nel 1283, Yolanda fu sepolta dietro l'altare della chiesa.
