Le monastère de Marienthal est un ancien monastère situé au bord de l'Eisch à Marienthal, fondé au XIIIe siècle par des Dominicaines de Strasbourg.
Au début, c'était un monastère pauvre, mais cela changea lorsque Yolanda de Vianden devint prior de la communauté en 1258. Grâce à différentes donations des comtes de Vianden à Luxembourg, Marienthal connut un essor. Yolanda fit aménager une bibliothèque et promut la vie économique et culturelle du monastère. Sous sa direction, l'église conventuelle gothique, longue de 50 mètres et large de 35, avec cinq nefs, fut également construite, mais elle n'existe plus aujourd'hui. Après sa mort en 1283, Yolanda fut inhumée derrière l'autel de l'église.
