A causa del Kulturkampf in Germania, l'architetto Max Keuchen ricevette l'incarico di fornire un progetto per un monastero per i gesuiti tedeschi al di fuori dei confini nazionali. Nel 1910 i gesuiti tedeschi possono utilizzare il Monastero di Bonifacio come casa di noviziato e ritiro a 's-Heerenberg, a 200 metri dal confine tedesco. L'edificio, eretto in uno stile neo-romanico, è composto da un corpo centrale con due ali laterali. Fa impressione per la sua enorme dimensione (cantina, tre piani e mansarda). Alle estremità delle due ali laterali, delle cappelle fiancheggiano il corpo centrale. L'asse della parte centrale è accentuata dalla facciata anteriore da un ingresso basso e dalla facciata posteriore da un ampliamento per la cucina. Nel 1937 i gesuiti abbandonano l'edificio e vi si trasferiscono i Padri Bianchi. Dopo l'entrata in funzione dei Salesiani e successivamente delle Mani d'Oro, il complesso è stato acquistato nel 2000 da Woonzorg Nederland. Fonte: www.takarchi.nl
