La tenuta ha una storia di almeno 700 anni e forse anche di più. Per quanto ne sappiamo, nei Paesi Bassi non ci sono terreni con una ricchezza comparabile di valore culturale e storico entro un raggio di alcuni chilometri. Nella Tenuta Schuilenburg, il nucleo è rappresentato dalla Sagenschuur. La Sagenschuur ospita la storia della Tenuta Schuilenburg. I tempi antichi prendono vita nelle immagini della colonna multimediale. I dipinti ricreano l'atmosfera storica. I reperti degli scavi sono esposti in teche.
