Schuilenburg era una havezate al confine delle frazioni Sallandesi di Hulsen ed Eelen nel comune di Hellendoorn. L'attuale frazione di Schuilenburg deve il suo nome alla ex havezate.
Nel diciannovesimo secolo si pensava ancora che Schuilenburg fosse il luogo da cui il duca Lotario di Sassonia marciò nel 1123 per assediare Deventer. Nel frattempo, questa teoria è stata smentita. Schuilenburg ricevette questo nome solo dopo che la famiglia Van Schuilenburg fece il suo ingresso in questa casa alla fine del quattordicesimo secolo. Prima e per un lungo periodo dopo si chiamava Ter Molen. Alla casa appartenevano sia un mulino ad acqua sul fiume Regge che un mulino a vento.
