Hazerswoude-Rijndijk è un paese nel comune di Alphen aan den Rijn.
I contadini del paese ottennero costruendo dighe e dragando una materia prima importante: torba. Intorno al XVI secolo l'estrazione della torba fece sì che il paese fosse circondato dall'acqua. Poiché i terreni edificabili e da pascolo si erano trasformati in paludi, la maggior parte delle persone partì verso i terreni più alti lungo la riva del Reno.
