Bad Boekelo era un bagno salato naturale all'aperto a Boekelo nel comune di Enschede fino al 1985. Attualmente è in uso come hotel.
Inizialmente, l'industria del sale olandese si trovava a Boekelo. Il sale aveva un valore piuttosto basso e con un trasporto via acqua più vantaggioso l'organizzazione mantenne una buona posizione competitiva. Pertanto, la K.N.Z. nel 1936, con il completamento del tratto del canale di Twente tra Hengelo e Enschede, ottenne già un'estensione della concessione per perforare salgemma nell'area del canale di Oele e Twekkelo e fu costruita anche quell'anno a Hengelo.
