A sud-est del villaggio di Nijswiller, sulla riva destra del Sinselbeek, si trova il castello di Nijswiller. Nella parte più antica c'è un muro irregolare di 2 metri di spessore. Questo indica che la casa ha origini medievali. La torre angolare sporgente è considerata l'elemento più antico della casa. Sul tetto c'è una banderuola con lo stemma di Jan (II) van Eynatten.
È uno dei proprietari che nel corso dei secoli ha posseduto questo castello. Nel 1860 la casa fu notevolmente ampliata. Sul lato sud furono aggiunte delle terrazze con balustrate in pietra naturale e i fossati furono riempiti. Nel 1934 il castello passò in possesso delle sorelle Francescane, poi divenne un centro di riflessione. Oggi il castello è di proprietà privata e ospita un bed and breakfast.
