Im Südosten des Dorfes Nijswiller, am rechten Ufer des Sinselbeek, steht die Burg Nijswiller. Im ältesten Teil befindet sich ein unebenes Stück Mauer von 2 Metern Dicke. Dies deutet darauf hin, dass das Haus mittelalterlichen Ursprungs ist. Der vorspringende Eckturm gilt als ältestes Element des Hauses. Auf dem Dach befindet sich eine Windfahne mit dem Wappen von Jan (II) van Eynatten.
Er ist einer der Besitzer, die dieses Schloss im Laufe der Jahrhunderte besessen haben. 1860 wurde das Haus erheblich erweitert. Auf der Südseite wurden Podeste mit Natursteinbalustraden angebracht und Gräben zugeschüttet. 1934 ging das Schloss in den Besitz der Franziskanerinnen über, danach wurde es zu einem Kontemplationszentrum. Heute befindet sich das Schloss in Privatbesitz und beherbergt ein Bed & Breakfast.
