Il Castello di Binckhorst è un castello del XVII secolo con origini all'inizio del XIV secolo. Si trova nel quartiere Haagse Binckhorst, che confina con Rijswijk e Voorburg. Non si sa quando sia stato fondato il Castello di Binckhorst. Si trova nello stesso complesso di dune costiere di Forum Hadriani a Voorburg e le tracce più antiche dell'area risalgono al Neolitico. Non è escluso che la vicina Binckhorstlaan sia una continuazione o un successore di una strada romana. Il nome Binckhorst viene menzionato per la prima volta nel 1076. La parola -horst, che deriva dalla parola germana hursti, si riferisce a un terreno boscoso elevato in un'area paludosa. La parola bink potrebbe anche riferirsi a 'altezza'.
