La Veerplas è un lago ricreativo nel Veerpolder, a est di Haarlem, vicino a Waarderpolder. Fa parte dell'Area Ricreativa Spaarnwoude. Il lago misura circa 450 metri da nord a sud e 400 metri da ovest a est. Sulla sponda sud si trova una palude di depurazione con molta canna, un cosiddetto filtro di elofiti. Durante l'inverno, qui e sulla sponda orientale paludosa possono essere presenti grandi quantità di uccelli acquatici, come l'oca grigia, il mestolone e il tuffetto. Nel lago sono stati immessi carassi dalla locale associazione di pesca sportiva.
