La Veerplas es un lago recreativo en la Veerpolder en el este de Haarlem, cerca de Waarderpolder. Forma parte del área recreativa Spaarnwoude. El lago mide aproximadamente 450 metros de norte a sur y 400 m de oeste a este. En la ribera sur se encuentra un humedal de purificación con mucha caña, un llamado filtro de helófitos. En el medio año invernal, aquí y en la ribera oriental pantanosa pueden estar presentes grandes cantidades de aves acuáticas, como el ganso gris, el silbón y el buceador antártico. Se han soltado carpas en el lago por la asociación local de pesca deportiva.
