La Biblioteca Universitaria della Delft University of Technology nel campus universitario di Wippolder è stata inaugurata il 15 maggio 1998. La biblioteca si trovava dal 1843 nell'edificio principale dell'Accademia Reale in Oude Delft 95. A causa della mancanza di spazio, nel 1915 è stato aperto un nuovo edificio in Doelenstraat. L'edificio era un design dell'architetto statale Jan Vrijman. La biblioteca era composta da due parti: l'edificio principale con aule studio e stanze di lavoro in stile Neo-Rinascimentale, e l'edificio del deposito in stile Neo-Classico. Nella seconda metà del ventesimo secolo, la collezione era stata dispersa in diverse sedi. Nel 1998 la biblioteca si è quindi trasferita a Wippolder. Il vecchio edificio della biblioteca è stato trasformato in un complesso di appartamenti.
