Die Universitätsbibliothek der Technischen Universität Delft auf dem Campus der Universität in Wippolder wurde am 15. Mai 1998 eröffnet. Die Bibliothek befand sich seit 1843 im Hauptgebäude der Königlichen Akademie in der Oude Delft 95. Aufgrund von Platzmangel wurde 1915 ein neues Gebäude an der Doelenstraat eröffnet. Das Gebäude war ein Entwurf des Reichsbaudirektors Jan Vrijman. Die Bibliothek bestand aus zwei Teilen: dem Hauptgebäude mit Lesesälen und Arbeitsräumen im neoklassizistischen Stil und dem Depothaus im neoklassizistischen Stil. In der zweiten Hälfte des zwanzigsten Jahrhunderts hatte sich die Sammlung über mehrere Dependancen verteilt. Im Jahr 1998 zog die Bibliothek daher in die Wippolder um. Das alte Bibliotheksgebäude wurde in ein Wohnkomplex umgebaut.
