La Katholieke Radio Omroep era un'organizzazione olandese di radiodiffusione cattolica di stato A, fondata il 23 aprile 1925 dal parroco Lambertus Hendricus Perquin O.P. come Lega delle Associazioni Radiofoniche Cattoliche. Nel giugno 1926 è stato adottato l'attuale nome.
La KRO era una radio cattolica. La KRO si occupava anche delle trasmissioni della RKK. La radiodiffusione è nota, tra le altre cose, per i gialli che trasmette regolarmente, tra l'altro durante la Notte dei Gialli annuale e nel Mese dei Gialli. Il programma KRO Boer zoekt Vrouw è il programma di intrattenimento più visto della televisione olandese.
