La Katholieke Radio Omroep fue una organización de radiodifusión pública católica neerlandesa con estatus A, fundada el 23 de abril de 1925 por el pastor Lambertus Hendricus Perquin O.P. como la Asociación de Radiodifusoras Católicas. En junio de 1926 se adoptó el nombre actual.
La KRO era una emisora católica. La KRO también se encargaba de las emisiones del RKK. La emisora es conocida, entre otras cosas, por los detectives que emite con gran regularidad, entre ellos durante la Noche de Detectives anual y en el Mes de Detective. El programa de la KRO Boer zoekt Vrouw es el programa de entretenimiento más visto de la televisión neerlandesa.
