Una fattoria in questo luogo è menzionata già nel 1466. Allora la fattoria era di proprietà di Jan van Croonenborgh. Il luogo Kronenberg ha preso il suo nome da questa fattoria.
Durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale c'era nei boschi di Kronenberg un campo per rifugiati. Nei pressi del Kronenbergerhof si trova una pietra commemorativa, chiamata "Oranje Vrijstaat", che ricorda le attività di resistenza nella fattoria e nelle sue vicinanze.
