Il Westerbork Synthese Radio Telescoop è un radiotelescopio composto da quattordici antenne paraboliche separate, situato nei boschi vicino a Hooghalen e Westerbork nel Drenthe. Il WSRT è stato inaugurato nel 1970 e viene ancora utilizzato per osservazioni astronomiche.
L'astronomo Jan Hendrik Oort ha giocato un ruolo importante nella realizzazione di questi telescopi. Del sistema originale del 1970 rimangono solo le antenne paraboliche e i cavi coassiali a terra. Tutti gli altri componenti sono stati completamente sostituiti nel 1999, consentendo al WSRT di competere con altri radiotelescopi nel mondo.
