Slowly, water oozes from the ground. Relentlessly. First it forms a large puddle and then flows slowly downwards, where it continues in a narrow ditch. Here, several streams spring forth, collectively forming the Mosbeek. We owe this "water taps" in the earth on the weir wall of Ootmarsum to the beautiful landscape of the Mosbeek valley.
Walking on the heath, resting at picturesque ponds and narrow streams in the forest, searching for the stag beetle or listening to the drumming of the black woodpeckers. For many visitors, this is the pleasure of Springendal - the valley of the Mosbeek. It's no coincidence that it is a protected nature reserve in Europe.
Because of the diversity of the area, the special stag beetle, and the visitor center, the valley of the Mosbeek is an absolute must for nature lovers and definitely worth a visit!
