La “Torre dos Almadas”, così chiamata perché la casa apparteneva alla famiglia Almadas, e risale probabilmente al XVI secolo .
Quando furono aperte le strade e ampliati gli spazi per consentire una migliore salute in città, intorno agli anni ’30, uno dei lavori di demolizione che furono eseguiti, quello della casa Almadas, che fu parzialmente demolita , formando così l'attuale a Tulha.
Verrà esposta una torre in granito a tre piani con tetto a padiglione, senza finestre affacciate sulla piazza.
La Torre degli Almadas è una delle icone dei Nicolino ed è la sede della loro associazione dal 1968. I Nicolino sono gli organizzatori delle feste Nicolinas . Feste studentesche, caratteristiche della città di Guimarães.
Questa torre è chiusa al pubblico, ma è aperta durante il fine settimana di Guimarães Noc Noc (un fine settimana di ottobre). Durante questi fine settimana l’ingresso è gratuito.
