La Funicular de Santa Luza, meglio conosciuta come "Lift" , ha una stazione in Av. 25 de Abril vicino all'ospedale. Si trova su una zona rialzata dietro la stazione ferroviaria e può essere raggiunta prendendo un ascensore gratuito dalla stazione ferroviaria e attraversando un ponte metallico o entrando nel Viana Shopping.
Con i suoi 650 metri di lunghezza, è la funivia più lunga del Paese e impiega circa 7 minuti per raggiungere un'altezza di 160 metri.
La funivia è stata costruita per la prima volta nel 1923 ed è stata recentemente completamente ristrutturata. La piccola cabina può ospitare circa 12 passeggeri e passa ogni 15 minuti.
La funivia è in funzione dal 1° gennaio al 31 maggio e dal 1° ottobre al 31 dicembre, dalle 8:00 alle 18:00. Durante i mesi estivi, dal 1° giugno al 30 settembre, la funivia è in funzione dalle 8:00 alle 20:00.
