De Flexenstrasse werd in 1895-'97 aangelegd, in 1937-'39 verbreed tot 6 à 7 m en in 1949-'52 voorzien van lawinegalerijen. Weg en galerijen werden in 1966 ten slotte nog eens verbeterd. Ook hier geldt een verbod voor caravans en aanhangers. 's Winters wordt de Flexenpas (1773 m) vanuit het zuiden berijdbaar gehouden (wel sneeuwkettingen), vanuit het noorden is de toegang naar Lech van december t/m maart gesloten.
