Het lijkt hier soms alsof een verborgen muzikant een soundtrack voor uw wandeling speelt, maar in werkelijkheid gaat het om een leerling van het conservatorium, dat in de Sikkel gevestigd is. De toren wijst erop dat het pand vroeger aan een (erg) rijke familie toebehoorde, een familie die zelfs een eigen waterput bezat (in totaal waren er in het 15e eeuwse Gent 5 waterputten voor 65.000 inwoners!). Even verder loopt u onder een houten stut (geen loopbrug!) door en links om de hoek langs de voorkant van de Sikkel naar het kruispunt met de Belfortstraat
