De Soor is een onbevaarbaar riviertje, dat ontspringt op de plek Duret, een deel van het veengebied Fagne des Deux-Séries, waar de bodem hard en turfloos is. Dit veengebied maakt deel uit van het meer dan 4000 ha grote natuurreservaat Hoge Venen. De Soor kabbelt in tal van bochten dwars door het Hertogenwoud en vloeit, een paar kilometer ten zuiden van Eupen, samen met de Hill.
